PC Abigail Chalkright - Hertfordshire Constabulary

Read information about our investigation into allegations that Hertfordshire Constbulary Police Constable Abigail Chalkright used excessive force on a man during an incident officers responded to at Cheshunt on 1 February 2020. Following completion of our investigation in June 2020 we submitted a file to the Crown Prosecution Service, which charged the officer with common assault by beating. She was subsequently acquitted when the case was dismissed at trial on 11 June 2021.
