Operation Midland - Metropolitan Police Service

Published 07 Jan 2018
Investigation

This investigation looked at the conduct of Metropolitan Police officers who applied for search warrants for properties connected to Lord Bramall, the late Lord Brittan and Harvey Procter as part of the force’s Operation Midland investigation into allegations made by Carl Beech. An independent review of Operation Midland, conducted by Sir Richard Henriques, had suggested possible misconduct regarding allegations the applications for search warrants made to the district judge in February 2015 were inaccurate or misleading.

Our investigation found no evidence that any of the officers deliberately withheld evidence from the applications with the intention of misleading the district judge and would have no case to answer for misconduct
