Investigation into man's death in Buxton following police contact - Derbyshire Police

Read information here about our investigation into Derbyshire Constabulary’s contact with a man, Cyril McGuinness, who died shortly after he was detained during the execution of a search warrant at a property in Buxton on 8 November 2019. The investigation began following a referral from the force and concluded seven months later. An inquest held on 5 October 2022 concluded he died of natural causes.
