Read information about our investigation into a serious collision involving a Greater Manchester Police vehicle and a pedestrian in Stockport on 26 December 2020. The pedestrian, a 15-year-old boy, suffered life changing injuries as a result of the incident.
Our investigation followed a mandatory referral from the force and concluded in September 2021. On 21 April 2023, the driver of the police vehicle was convicted of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. See below for more information.
