Allegations of failure to notify force of association - North Wales

Read information here about our investigation into allegations that PC Gavin Griffiths failed to notify the force of an association with a person in respect of whom he had viewed information and intelligence on North Wales Police systems and continued to do so, on one occasion, without a policing purpose, and failed to register a ‘notifiable association’ with the force’s Professional Standards Department. The investigation, carried out by North Wales Police under our direction and control, into the allegations began in July 2022, following a referral from the force about the conduct of the officer. At a misconduct hearing in March 2023 it was determined that the officer would be dismissed without notice.
