Fatal road traffic collision in Evesham - West Mercia

Read information here about our investigation into a fatal road traffic collision in Evesham on Thursday 27 January 2022.  At around 8.30 pm that evening a marked police car was responding to an emergency assistance call from a colleague when a collision occurred with a silver Audi at the junction of Badsey Lane on Elm Road. A 59-year-old man, Marcus Evans, driving the Audi sadly died at the scene. We have investigated whether the police car, driven by PC Abigail Myers, was being driven in accordance with force policies. The investigation followed a referral from West Mercia Police. At the end of our investigation in July 2022, we referred our report to the Crown Prosecution Service.
