Investigation into fatal Wood Green shooting enters new phase

On Friday 11 December, Jermaine Baker, 28, from Tottenham, died during a police operation in Bracknell Close, Wood Green, in North London. Mr Baker died as a result of a single gunshot wound. The coroner for North London has been made aware.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission has launched a homicide investigation into Mr Baker's death. The launch of a criminal investigation does not mean that criminal charges will necessarily follow.

As this is now a criminal investigation, the IPCC is limited on what further information can be provided.
