Mouayed Bashir - Death following police contact - Gwent Police

Read information about our investigation into the death of Mouayed Bashir, who died after officers attended a property in Newport on Wednesday 17 February 2021 following reports of concern for his welfare. He was restrained and subsequently taken to hospital by ambulance, where he died later the same morning.
