GMP PCSO to appear in court over alleged computer misuse

A Greater Manchester Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) will appear in court charged with computer misuse offences following an Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) investigation.

Our investigation looked at the PCSO’s contact with a member of the public between March 2017 and November 2018.

Mark Turner, 36, will appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 16 December.

Our investigation began in December 2019 and was completed in March 2020. At the investigation’s conclusion, we referred a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), which made the decision to charge the PCSO in October 2020.
