Ex-Met officer due in court charged with sex offence on teen
A former Metropolitan Police Service officer is due to make his first appearance in court charged with misconduct in public office.
It follows an investigation by the Met’s Anti-Corruption Unit carried out under the direction of the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
PC Che Homersham, 36, who was based in the North-West basic command unit, is alleged to have formed an inappropriate relationship between December 2018 and January 2019 with a child, a 16-year-old girl, who he met during the course of his duties.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 30 October.
The investigation began in June 2023 after we received a mandatory conduct referral from the Met. It was completed in May and we decided to send a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorised the charge.
